Well, I was gonna wait until I got some more stuff in, but okay.

Front hex conversion is done, using Traxxas parts with a little modification. All new turnbuckles, just waiting on the ones for the steering linkages.

I found a good deal on some decent gold shocks, so the front and rear match now.

But since I plan on this actually being a runner, I decided to make a couple changes:

- I removed the 10T steering assembly and replaced it with Worlds bellcranks and a heavy duty servo saver. It is just all around better than the original pieces. I also have a Tower Pro MG995 in there.

- I replaced the battery cup with a Pure-Tech strap and brackets. I dislike cutting the ends on battery cups and the straps are just so much easier.

I think I'm going to use Traxxas Nitro Hawk rear wheels all around. They have a little wider offset than the originals, which will be good for bashing around. And they have the right look for a 90's stadium truck.

Well, I needed the black motor plate for another vehicle. I think the gold plate blends well with the shocks too. Also swapped in some stiffer gold rear springs.

Got a motor and RPM cover installed as well. Its just a 17T Reedy Radon, but that seems about perfect for a truck like this.

Got the Factory Works rear hexes in and installed Traxxas 1972 (Nitro Rustler) wheels all around with some spare tires I had. They are a little wider offset than factory but who cares.

I got a JConcepts F-150 body for it. I just need some extended rear body mounts before I trim and paint it.

Since I decided to make this one a definite runner, I figured spending time and money on a new body probably wasn't worth it. So it got a hand-me-down body from my Team Truck and a new 3D printed bumper. For being nearly 30 years old, I don't think that the body looks too bad.

I decided to go ahead and put a new body on this one. The old hand-me-down body has several cracks in it and some of the paint is chipping off. So I got a JConcepts F-150 body.

Also pictured are the big(er) bore shock springs. The fronts are for some Duratrax truck and the rears are for a Traxxas Nitro Rustler. I used Traxxas cups and locators along with the AE locators.

I've always liked those traxxas wheels for some reason, good to know they fit well on an AE.
