Hello From York - UK

Post by Sharpy »

Hi All,

New to the forum, stumbled across it when I was looking for parts for my old RC car, I have a Losi XX, its been sat around for a while but with my daughter showing an interest I thought I would dust it off and we could both use it.

This was great until we had a little crash and broke the bell crank and the front of the chassis. Should all be fixable just trying to find the parts.

Also looking for potential upgrades for the car as it all feels quite loose, back in the day I raced it and it got a lot of use so now all the steering and axles etc are a bit sloppy so I will be asking for help as to what are good parts to buy to upgrade the car.

Seems a good forum from the lurking I have done to date! :)

Cheers
Sharpy

First off, welcome to the forum! There's a lot of info. regarding the XX line of Losi vehicles in here. Second, some of your looseness may be due to loose hardware. I spy a loose wheel nut and shock mounting screws in your photo. But maybe you knew about those. Anyway, eBay is probably your best bet for parts, but be sure to also check out www.sabulatech.com. Lots of parts, reproduction items and manuals there.

Thanks!

I had partly dismantled the car and didnt want to lose anything hence just loosely put back on. When everything is tight its just all a bit sloppy. Lots of free play, the steering is never quite in line sort of looseness.

I shall check out the link and the XX element of the forum. Love see what others are doing here as well. I can see this costing me a few ££s along the way!
