I went to visit the Pargu store in South Korea earlier this year, and while perusing his shop came across his last gold aluminum rims for the vintage RC10. It must have been in storage for many years. These are the 1.7 rear and 1.9 fronts (I think these are the dimensions to the RC10 original). He makes all the stuff himself and sells the 2.2 size online.
I finally got around to installing some rubber tires and completed the entire wheel set on RC10 display model. The black plastic inserts make the fit and appearance a bit weird using the Good Year tires so I elected to remove them for the rear tires. I like the look of both the Good Year tires and the scale-like Tamiya Super Sand tires. I'm glad Tamiya and Kyosho don't have their branding on their vintage tires thankfully.

I tried a set of those tires on some JConcepts Detonator wheels, but the sidewalls rubbed on the carriers. They may have cleared truck carriers but I never got around to trying.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can get the gold-ish/yellow anodized screws that screw through the bottom of the old gold tub? I've had to return a couple orders now to different sellers because their pictures show the gold screws but what I keep getting...

The color of the vintage 8/32 screws varied widely from greenish to goldish. The classic rere came with screws that are very greenish. Been my experience that snap easily.
I have recently inherited a gold anodized RC100. Will show it and would like to get some feedback on what would be the best way to restore it if possible. I was intrigued when I got it, as I have seen my father piecemeal this when I was...

Sorry for the double post,
I was able to find a link to some more manuals, the manual for the RC100 and the RC200 turns out to be very similar. I now have a more clear direction on taking the car apart to reassemble it.
What are the thoughts on the all inclusive kits being offered by I guess team Associated. I noticed they offer a kit for $760 to include ESC, battery , motor and servo. I am hearing there is a similar kit with a mod motor being offered for $499 but...
Hi all, the intention of this post is to serve as a reference point detailing how to duplicate some of the rear end setups I've used and get a lot of questions on.
I'll preface this by stating that there are a lot of different CVA/CVD and...

Very good 8) Thanks for taking the time to explain in great detail all the items necessary for this conversion.
Why is it that the Fox is SO sought after?? I want one myself, but every one that comes up on the bay fetches WAY more than I'd pay... Am I just too cheap? I don't even care about the gold rims, I want a runner not a model for the shelf.

As far as I know, the wheels were plated in 24K gold, not 14K.
I picked up a Gold Pan RC10 a while back and have not done much because I need a set of front rims/tires.
I'd like to pickup some inexpensive tires/rims to just get this buggy on the road....
If I had an opportunity to get the tri-spoke style...

This is my RC10 I got built a few months ago before I was a member of this awesome forum. Like most of us I was into the hobby back when I bought my first RC10 in the 80's and recently got bit by the RC10 bug bigtime the beginning of this year. All...
