Is This A Novak 1?

Post by morrisey0 »

I started into designing a sticker for a Novak Rx I had, and then dove in the "gallon bag" of ESCs to find a sample that had a good case, but bad sticker, so I could print stickers to match. To my surprise, I found an ESC with no sticker at all, so that won by default. Kinda took it apart to start soaking the plastic without taking any pics, but then got to really looking at it, and best match I can find online is that it is a 1? Is there another model that just had the two pots in these locations and no light? Just want to make sure I make a sticker that is appropriate.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

It could also be a 4.

It could be a 1 or a 4 - second edition
Second edition = 4 wire (vs 3), screw together case (vs Black tape).

My T-1 and T-4's have 4 screw cases. My 1X has a 3 screw case but is a clearly different design.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Here’s a decent pic of the four wire 4 Brian is referring to. Oddly enough I received it in a B3.

Look at the brake FET: the one hiding behind the wires. If it is a BUZ11 it is a Novak 1, if it is something else BUZ71 or BUZ10 it's a Novak 4. :D

None of the swine in my stable deserve such a nice piece, but it may end up on the Holiest of chassis I have.
