Can I use spare Tamiya "O" rings, on a RC10B3/B4 top loaded shock?

Have any of you used standard Tamiya red "O" rings in a Team Associated top-loaded shock assembly for a "vintage RC10 B3 or RC10B4" shock?
I believe the shaft is 3mm in diameter which is slightly bigger/thicker than a standard Tamiya shock shaft.
The reason is that I have a lot of spare Tamiya o rings I would like to use for this application...

Tamiya O-ring seem to use metric size O-rings
Thickness (cross-section) = measured @ 1.8mm
Outside Diameter = measured @ 6.5mm
Inside Diameter = might be around 2.8mm, which seems too tight a seal for a 3mm shaft damper.

I use the same 006 silicone o rings in all my Associated, Tamiya, and Traxxas shocks.

try it and see if the shocks work smoothly. the o-rings typically conform to standard sizes so there is a high chance that they will fit

It works, tighter fit probably helps with keeping oil out of a shelf display model longer? In the end, I may have just ordered the right ones.

I have used the blue TRF ones, a bit more expensive but they seem to work fine, shocks are smooth and no leaking so far. The orange cheaper ones work too, but they don't convince me..
