Mid Motor mounting for Ten4?

I see a conversion kit that has the motor mounted mid for the RC10 that has 6565 transmission (see picture)

Anyone has built their Ten4 with Mid motor mounted?

Looks like the stock AE motor mount plate with the backside cut off like is usually done with a mid-motor configuration.

Don't think it's possible , the belt would have to be routed up over the motor pretty harshly , belt drag would be bad . You might be able to use one of the really early cable drive setups .

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.

is there any specific holes that need to be drilled or any major modification that needs to be done to convert the RC10 over...........i might be getting another Rc10 gold pan and wanted to do the mod to it

Hi all

This is somewhat of a rehash of a previous build with a few new twists.
A couple months ago I bought 2 RC10 chassis. One is a vintage 6 gear graphite. It is not shaped like a gold pan, extra wide near the front and more narrow at the widest...

I've been thinking on this for a while. Got a couple 6301 chassis when on sale as well as a few other parts.
I also picked a laydown housing to check for fit.

I´m in the middle of making a new gear set, mainly from Tamiya gears.
Have no clue how it´s going to end up :lol:

Very true. If you were keeping it a truck, it's a matter of a dynotech motor plate, some battery trays of some type, and some creative bracing and you are on the way.
