This is my vintage 1980s Yokomo Super Dog Fighter buggy unveiled in 2023. This build is 90% complete with period-correct batteries and electronics.
I prefer the look of a lay-down receiver configuration. This allows just enough space for a low-profile servo to fit perfectly in the tight space. Definitely a top-five buggy for me. I like the tires and clean chassis layout design.

Back with another few pics with some identity issues.

I'm guessing late 80's and the mechanical speed control is something I've never seen.

Normal for wiring to run between the belt?

Front shock tower is different from what I've seen?...

It seems the R/C gods have favoured me this past week and I have been fortunate to secure on a few deals which have made all the difference to me.
I have had my heart set on an early Dog Fighter for a while now but wasnt sure the original 870c was...

After finding out my good buddy Chris has a sweet old Dog Fighter I wanted to lend him a hand with getting it ready for the race track.
