So I picked up a couple vintage super champ buggies recently and decided to use the best off of both for one nice rebuild. The one in these photos was definitely the better of the two and the one for the bassis of the build. I kept a couple things off the other one but not much.
When I was around 8, my cousin had a Super Champ and it really blew me away. It was so fast, full of metal, in fact it was too fast for my cousin to control and it hit my eldest brother until his toes were bleeding....Ever since then my impression...

I picked this cool little car up in a trade for an old rc boat i had collecting dust. Its seen better days but my plan is to restore this back to stock and use it as a weekend runner. The rear shock oil res is leaking real bad but i'll tear into it...

That should clean up nicely. Throw a little bit of easy off oven cleaner on that shell and see what you get.

Got some work done on the Superchamp today while I was home from work sick with the flu. I got this car from a member here. It never had any electronics in it. He did give me a brand NIB MSC for it. Well I 1st off removed all the bronze bushings and...
Bought this on craigslist here localy awhile back. Turned out the guy was a coworker/friend i lost contact with16+ years ago when i moved away to go to coledge... Small world.

I bought this car about 8 or 9 yrs ago and it's about 90% complete. The guy who sold it to me rebuilt it as a shelf queen. All of the parts are IMMACULATE, including the inside of the gearbox. The gears and shocks have never been oiled/ greased....

Cool! Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure and use cement. I assume I can paint over it after it's fully dried and sanded?
My sweet wife wanted to surprise me with something nice. Boy did she ever! :shock:
She knew that my first real rc car (I had a Tyco Turbo Hopper before this one) was a Super Champ and that we got at a flea market and I'd always regretted letting it...
