Giveaway for 40th owners- collecting tub numbers

Post by GoMachV »

Little giveaway for owners of the 40th anniversary kits to see who has the highest kit number *edit- AND LOWEST NUMBER*. Since AE won't tell us the total number made we will have to see if we can approximate it by collecting numbers ourselves. I'm doing this on Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/share/p/ke5QsKToYuZsxgMk/?mibextid=oFDknk but if your not on Facebook post a pic of your chassis number and I'll add it if it's higher *OR LOWER* than the others. No need to post the number if it's somewhere in the middle. My kit is 1995, so we would start at that. I'm ending the giveaway on June 1st but if you have a higher number after that please post it anyway and I'll update it.

The giveaway is a set of Halsey towers for the rc10, or any other rc10 tower set we sell. One for the low number, one for the high

Someone was bound to make the joke eventually...

...I found the highest chassis number:

Funny Chassis Number.jpg

Makes you wonder what the most valuable chassis number will be. Beyond those equating to dates important to someone, when does chassis # 1984 end up on eBay for a tidy little sum.

Will be interesting to see what numbers we get in Australia, they will likely either be fairly low or high.

Is there a way to check through the bar code? I'm not opening the kit when I get it.

nope, the only place the number appears is on the sticker. Its a tough decision- do you crack the seals to see, possibly devaluing the kit, or leave it sealed and never know. Schrö-Edingers RC10 LOL
