Cleaning older RC10

Post by MOmo »

So I was given an RC10 a while back, and its quite dirty. I'd like to tear down the whole thing and inspect it for damage and wear. Something that struck me as an option to clean this was my dish washer.

Is this recommended? or should I use regular dish soap and warm water?

I thought I might take the whole thing and toss it in the dishwasher on a "short wash" setting. I tried searching for suggestions, but alot was using motor spray etc, which I can do, but overall.

Any suggestions? Its the older RC10 CE (I think) Im sure its not the 6 gear.

I've had great luck soaking nasty parts in Simple Green. There have been some other suggestions in the past as well.

One of the most efficient solution (in France), using CIF cream !
Your white parts became really clean and most clear !
But if you start with a really yellow part like a old stealth gear case, stop dreaming, this can't became like new !

**Update**

Though I haven't cleaned it yet, upon further inspection, I think its another 6gear!

I really want to find some accessories for this. Anyone know if some more "modern" parts will adapt? namely wheels?
