Check with local architectural sheet metal shops and HVAC shops that fabricate their own needs. Also check for a local specialty metals shop, ones that carry all types of ferrous and nonferrous metals.

Is there someone who makes all 6 steel gears for the transmission or any way to swap a newer transmission with steel gears? I really need to get steel gears because I am running a brushless system. I'm not going to get rid of this one to get a newer...

Thank you, I'll have to try that. That will help a lot.
I was cleaning out one of my gun safes the other day and found my blueing touch-up pen for steel barrels. I had an idea to try it on some turnbuckles and screws I had stripped the rust off of. I went over the parts with my dremel with a soft wire...

If nobody's looking, I use Sharpie. :P
i find that the sharpie dries a dark purple. gotta love when people sharpie the scratches in graphite chassis. purple streaks.
You know where it works great? After you cut your own carbon fiber parts, color...
Just wondering whats the best solution to clean dirty grimy screws. I'm not trying to remove rust or anything like that but I got a lot of screws that are way too filthy (mostly grease and wd40) to put in anything white. What would be the best...

I used PB Blaster on some screws, that worked well too. Just be careful what you spray it in; it says right on the can that it will disolve a styrofoam cup, and many plastics probably don't like it either. You don't want to come back a day later and...

Here's the image... not as good looking when up close... Probably could have done better cleaning/polishing before trying this. But this was just me tinkering around. :)
Since there seems to be a world-wide outdrive shortage for RC10's, I've decided to try printing some from stainless steel.
I bought a NIP pair from aip47-2008 (thanks again man!) and took my measurements from them. I uploaded them to shapeways and...

Also the rerelease cva’s that came with the worlds car are shorter than they should be, this is a known issue and I think the easiest but worst solution is using the blue wheel washer on the inside instead of in its intended position. This will...
Never seen these before (tried to search here also) - This came with a graphite I bought while ago and it looks too nice to be home made. It seems like stamped or cut and not machined or drilled. Has anyone seen like before?

I measured the thickness and it's only 0.8mm. Material is also ferromagnetic, so something iron based. Probably it's someone's one-off custom part - quite decent looking though. Not sure if I am going to use it either...
