B3 shocks - interchange with other vehicles?

Post by Dan442 »

Hello all,

Where can I find out the travel length of B3 shocks, front and rear? I would like to know if I can use B4 ones. I realize that there are limitations in travel - steering in front, cvd's in rear, etc.

Thanks!

I believe B3 shocks are:

front: .89 shock body's w/ .71 shafts
rear: 1.32 shock body's w/ 1.02 shafts

they should work without any modification. Just make sure you're using the top row of holes on the front shock tower. On the rears you may need to use travel limiters (on the shock shaft inside the shock body) depending on how the setup turns out once the rears are installed.

B4 shocks will also work.

check out this thread:
"What was old is… still old, but a lot newer"

CVDs in the rear require more modification (i.e. new bearings and of course B4 rims)
Steering as far as I know will not transfer over directly from the B4 to the RC10. There is a thread about modifying B2 steering though.
