Ranch Pit Shop Decal Experiment

Post by Y'ernat Al »

To those with interset in graphics, sticker reproduction, etc..

I got into adobe illustrator and figured its now (with the newer versions) really easy to take a scan (raster image) and convert it to a vector graphic suitable for printing, with just a little attention to detail. My first experiment is for an RPS build I have in the works..

This came from a single sticker I pulled off my tool box and scanned. Thoe original was red and yellow, beat and scratched up. I'm stoked it's so easy (I tried it a few years ago on older versions of photoshop/illustrator and it was a pain in the #@$%).

Now I need to learn something about (screen) printing. If anyone can point me to a good reference, please do.

(Also, I'll can post a better image than that presented above, I just don't have the software on this machine and went with a shot of the pdf, just for illustration purposes - just ask me)

You mean like these?

Artwork is already done... Jay (Mr Lexan) has a lot of vintage logos I did vector art for a while ago. No need to recreate the wheel, just need someone to do the leg work.
