Petition: SRB new 4wd conversion kit!!
Since it is not a secret that Tamiys is going to re-re the SRBs soon and a lot of SRB guys would not mind a 4wd conversion, I think we shall try to petition one of the aftermarket manufacturers to also develop a SRB 4wd conversion kit or simply re-re their SRB 4wd conversion kit (e.g. MIP).
I know this may give some 'collectors' a heart attack but there must be a few people who love to actually race a 4wd SRB (rather than simply smelling, watching them on a silly shelf..), don't you?
Chain drive or belt drive wouldn't hurt my feeling. Just not that flexi-drive version...
I want 3 sets!!

Re: Petition: SRB new 4wd conversion kit!!
I respect your wishes but would have to say no thanks
Once you did all the modifications to the SRB to fit the 4wd kit, you didn’t have much left of an original SRB
Then when it was done, it didn’t work nearly as good as a purpose built 4wd buggy.
The reason for the MIP 4wd popularity is its rarity and engineering, not because it worked well.

Yep, they probably sold like ten of the original versions, the re-release version would probably sell half as many. I think you'd be wasting your time with that petition, I don't any company is going to spend that kind of time and money on something that will most likely make no profit in the end.

Didn't the SRB 4wd use a speedo cable to power the front tranny. The ones I saw looked interesting but far from something I would want to invest loads of cash in just to have a unique piece. There's lots of other cars that interest me more. Just my .02.
