sounds like you have a bad cell (or 6). they have enough capability to run a few milliamps on the servo and esc, but with any heavy loading they can't supply the current. This is apparent by the fact that the motor spins slowly.

OK that sounds correct.
I will take it to the hobby store and test out what a newer battery will do.
I just don't like to go uneducated.

After my trip to the local hobby store, it looks like the battery is fine but the speed controller needs to be replaced. Anyone know where I can get one New or used (Futaba 210CB) on the cheap?
