They are for 10L and 12L carpet cars. Don't mount the servo on the angle, use the backside of the mounts and you should be ok. Not ideal, but they work.

Thanks...I just used Rit powdered dye and kept the parts on low heat for about an hour.

Eau Rouge - Got it, thanks.

Well, a bit more has been done to the car (linkages, electrics, wheels). I had to be a little innovative as far as battery mounting. My batteries are configured for my TC4, and are too long to use the battery tray. I ended up using some old body posts and cut a strap from an old bumper. With the addition of velcro on the chassis, it's not going anywhere. So far, I just need a motor and a body to get it running. Eventually, I'll spring for new batteries.

Russ, you do that those batteries insulated against the metal chassis, right?

Just waiting for the body and motor to get here from Tower. I'll probably wait until spring to get some new batteries and hopup goodies. My wife has been pretty cool with my spending lately and I don't want to push my luck.

It's been a while, but the car is now "complete". I'll refrain from using the term "finished", because they never are. Anyway, I picked up a body and motor for cruising the street (just waiting on my NIB Bolink foams to arrive via ebay).
The body, as you can see, is very simple using rattle cans (I never claimed to be a painter). The wing was made from sheet lexan. I just need to find a couple of white Associated decals to finish it off.
I'm not sure about any setups until I get the tires. I'll probably spend 95% of the time on the street with it, anyway.
The main upgrade I have in mind is a better bellcrank. Apparently, they're like gold on ebay. After that, maybe some screw-on ball ends from Dubro or similar type.

seems I love pimping this mod, but here is an inexpensive steering upgrade, as long as you don't mind using traxxas parts(usually sitting on the rack in your closest hobby store).

Thanks for the tip, but I think I'll hold off and continue hunting a Losi or RPM bellcrank...maybe I'll get lucky.
