That Ultima trailing arm kit looks mighty tempting...
I agree! I'm wondering if it will work with the Ultima I built. My concern is with the 2.2 wheel conversion I did, is there going to be enough clearance between the tire and the trailing arm? With my A&L RC10 w/ B3 wheels, the clearance is literally a few widths of hair.

Rich:
Our Ultima kits come with 12mm thick wheel hex adapters. Not sure how 2.0 wheel will fit, but my cloudy memory wants to say we used to run machined 2.2" wheels and some Trinity 2.2 wheels back in the day.? :?

Thanks for the positive feed back, the site is basically a carbon copy of the Factory Works Site, need to think about changing it up some. Any ideas?

I will be looking for pics once I get the Associated, Losi and Kyosho pages done for the site, need to get up the towers, body mounts, dog bone conversion kits for TRX-1's, replacement trailing arm kit parts, replacement Lethal Weapon parts and so on up so you can see all the other things filling my Garage space.
Have about 5 more pages to do before I can tackle the gallery pages......I started counting and laying them out and...lets says I was over helmed by the number of pages the Gallery could turn into.

Vintage Team A&L = http://vintageteamaandl.com/

Not sure, one time it shows up the next a T-shirt site shows up. I am working on the problem.

It does not have everything on it yet, but it is a start! Daryl
just added to my favorites also!

Maybe the t-shirt site is a 'sign' stating that you need to get "Vintage A&L" shirts made up

Actually, He has some. Problem is they're all size small. But, I think the tees would be an awesome idea!

Hmm...this sure makes things interesting. Do the arms use metric bearings?

I would love to have "T" s made but the art work is lost/gone, so making new would be very costly today.

All of the suspension conversion kits we made use the stock axles, so the Kyosho kits and fitted for 5X10 flanged bearings that are included with the kits. This is just becoming more and more tempting - Rich........

atm = At this time? - Sorry forgot you asked and you need to remember I am old school - in thought also....  I just bought my first flip cell phone this year!

The outside end of the input shaft on the MIP tranny is drilled and tapped for a 6/23 screw to hold the MIP gear adapter on the shaft. The gear adapter pushs on to the shaft and locks into a 1/16" dowel pin, I believe - have not measured one in awhile. Anyway MIP made some of our first machined parts for the LW tranny, we designed our input shaft to use the same 5X10mm bearings, 6/32 screw, 1/16" dowel pin and NIP gear adapter.

So the Power clutch comes with a 6/32 X 1" long set screw that the pressure parts ride o and are adjusted with - and the drive plate of the slipper locking into the same 1/16" dowel pin.

I could have just said "yes" - but then I would not have gotten all this typing, spelling and re-typing practice.

One of the next heading I am going on adding to the A&L site is a directions directory. I am working on scanning all the old original "Typed" instruction for it. Parts list will be a part of most of these instructions - all power clutch slippers come with the 1/16" dowel pin included as one of the pieces.

Daryl,

It was really great talking with you... Thank you for the hand delivery of the Vintage A&L components! I just finished installing the MIP trans in my Blue Project RC10 you saw... I should have the slipper on and ready for photos by tomorrow.

Living in So-Cal has always had its R/C advantages!

The new production "Vintage A&L" Steering components look awesome!

Hey Daryl,

Slightly off-topic question for you: would your Ultima LW2 diff fit a stock Kyosho Lazer gearbox with a modified pulley? It just occured to me after spinning the LW2 diff in my hand last night. Have you ever tried that? If this works, my Paypal account is going to be taking a beating shortly...

Hi Adam
I have never tried this, we only had a Lazer for a short time big then and that never accorded to us to try? Do you have a Lazer, sounds like you have a diff....hint hint...

I know I have cut plenty of Optima diffs up and modified them to put try pulleys onto Thorp Ultima diffs. Our love for kit bashing is why Chris and I started A&L in the first place.
