On the rear wheels, did you leave the tamiya hub off to mount the wheels?
The wheels are mounted using a optional hex adaptor - pretty much similar to the one Tamiya offers as an option for the FROG. Let me know if you need a pic/part no.
Thinking of trying to fit a ball bearing into the rear suspension setup to eliminate the friction... I heard it's been done before - anyone have any references of such a setup?
Do post pics of your steering setup when done... I'd love to see your take on it.
Pics of the rear adapters would be great. I already bookmarked this thread.
I have a few projects ahead of the blackfoots and frog, but I will definiately post pics when I'm done.

Cool set up. What ball joint did you use to attach to the steering knuckles? The Frog and the Sand Scorcher have the same steering arms right? I want to put some stronger turnbuckles on my Scorcher, but I'm not sure how to mount a regular ball end to the knuckle. The stock ball joint seems to be 2.5 or some odd size.

Sorry I missed this post...
I'm actually using the standard ball on the knuckle with the white rodend. I drilled out the rodend to 2.5mm and then threaded the 3mm turnbuckle into it.
Tamiya does have some 5mm balls with a very narrow threaded portion (I have some in my F104 knuckles) but I'm not sure of the part number. I think those would probably be perfect for this particular job.
Hi guys, thought I'd share a little on my latest project.
Bought this truck off ebay some time ago and finally got around to working on it. As I took it apart I was quite disappointed at the state it was in with many parts cracked or broken, wrong...

Your diff reinforcing method looks great! I do it a similar way, with the stock outdrives, but using a piece of 2mm threaded rod with a nut on each end instead of the long bolt. I just loctite the nuts in place (using the heavy-duty red stuff), and...
Just sharing a project I recently worked on, my simple take on a mid-motor RC10.

That thing looks great! Nice driving as well! Hope the 3D parts last for you.
Thanks, I'm a 3D printing newbie so I'm learning as I go along... the way the part is designed and printed makes a difference to the way it handles stress. Version 1 of...
This Yokomo 834B last saw action in 2010 when we had a local vintage event - after which it was put on a shelf and untouched for the last 7 years. lol! :)
Standing proud at NOOB Vintage 2010.

Been a while since I last posted a project but here's what has been keeping me entertained the last couple of weeks - the Schumacher re-release Top Cat!
I was very excited with this re-release at it seems such an...

Nice work on all the mods to the front suspension setup, you mention that you might be willing to share the files or put them up on Shapeways.
would you still consider doing that as i would certainly be interested in set, although possibly not in...
