I got the HD one for tht price. It's the HD Hero 960 model. I got it in an American Costco, so that's $130 USD. Either way, sweet price and free for me :D

I am at work later today, I might pick it up tonight and check it out over the weekend.

I will check for the exact model number and let you all know. Even if I don't use it all that much, atleast I have one.

Strapping it to the cat, hiding it in certain places all over the house. I could get into some fun trouble with this thing. (Need a cat first :) )

Here is a link to the GoPro True HD Hero HD1.

http://gopro.com/hd-hero-cameras/

This is the one I bought.

http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-motorsports-hero-camera/

I have yet to fire it up and test it out at home, Looked great at work on a Sony 32 inch LCD TV.

Here is a quick review of it.

http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/gopro-motorsports-hd-hero/4505-6501_7-33874215.html

For those of you that are wanting one, Don't hesitate. The HD2 model is out now, Both are full HD 1080P.

Seems like a great cam for it's size and features.

Looks like it's the same camera, but the different packages have different mounts

Yes, the 960 comes with a head strap mounting system. Mine is just the clip on suction and a screw type mount.

The only big difference between the two is the HD resolution. The 960 is 960P (progressive) compared to the Motorsports version that I bought.

The Motorsports version is a full 1080P, It really makes no difference to me. Some people say they can see the difference, I am good with any of it.

If any one is wondering, the "P" means that it is a progressive scan. If you have a 1080I (Interlaced) digital video cam or LCD TV, it skips every second line and

eventually comes back to the line it skipped. A progressive scan means it scans every line every time and provides a smoother clearer video.

They are both 5 Megapixel still image sensors, which is more than enough. Anything more than that and the human eye cannot process the detail.

The only reason you would need anything more than a 5 MP cam is when you decide to print a pic. The higher the resolution or MP, the better the picture quality when printing.

We are talking poster size or bigger, not a 3X5 or 4X6 printed photo. At 8 MP, you could print a pic at poster size from 2 foot by 4 foot, up to 8 foot by 10 foot, with great results.

I think I ran on to long sorry about that. More crap info than what was needed.

GoPro goes rock crawling in my back yard with a Losi Comp Crawler
I know this is a video thread, but here are some photos to boot. I had to move the camera ahead, but got a good video eventually.

That is cool! What model of the GoPro are you using?

Heck of a backyard you have there, looks like some water runs down that creek bed once in awhile.

No snow yet?

IF that creek fills with water in the spring/summer , that crawling would be great fun.

I think an SCX-10 would be great running there as well.

It is nice having this creek next to the house. In the spring a lot of water runs through it, which would be cool with a more water resistant RC. Thank god I just got the Wraith  The board you see in one of the photos floated up on the rocks during one of the heavy rain falls. It's slightly different each time I go out. We generally don't get snow any more until Jan. some time, with the exception of a snow fall or two that doesn't stick around.

I'm using the cheap GoPro, the $150 one

Got the Wraith now, but I'm at work, so there wont be any good videos yet. BUT, I have the GoPro with me and I have explored my GoPro placement options on the Wraith and decided to go with the inside out view. It fits on the console between the seats. There's a bunch of snow outside, so I taped up most of the openings. Once the big truck activity dies down outside I will get a short video out by the drill rig.

I think I would be calling home and having a package sent out to me. A few more batteries, and the charger.

If you are only there for a week or so, no need. But C'Mon!!

I think you might find this video informative, mounting options for you cam.
