For something other than the typical off-road truck body, I think the McAllister #240 "Modified Coupe" looks great on a truck chassis.

(P.S.: Don't sell the guitars.)

That is pretty sweet looking...not sure if I could make it fit...thanks though, gives me a whole lot more to consider. And don't worry guitars are not going anywhere.

I'm not in a toyota forum, but I have that name in the tamiya forum, maybe some others as well

I may have to find out about that body myself (see my new thread).

I do like that body...never even thought of going in that direction...I'm still perplexed...I also kind of really like some of the "awkward" looking bodies for the T4...just not sure if they will fit either. I'm getting my paint scheme in my head and really want to get the airbrush out of the cobwebs and do some spraying....but don't want to rush. Looks like you have a pretty cool project as well....they always seem to have more work than originally thought. But I suppose that is much of the fun!!!!

I'm still working on it. I kind of have a paint scheme in my head now and I think I would like to go with a new body style....Does anybody know if the Proline Bull Dog or JC Punisher, both for the RC10T4.1, would fit? I have also given in and got new turnbuckles...I cleaned up the others, but they would rust again I am sure....I will keep them though. It is really looking clean.

yep,
there are builds in here with them on the rc10t. Search in this section for the body style you are wanting...

Awesome Todd, Thanks...I was just telling my wife as I was posting this, that she needs to do searches on her forums before she asks questions...she is new to some shotgun forums...I guess I don't listen to myself when I speak...Thanks for the quick reply.

your welcome. My pc is draggin or I'd do some searchin myself. Might not be in the truck forum now that I think of it but I'd start there then go out to off topic/chit chat. I'm thinkin there is a thread in there about some 'butt ugly' bodies or something like that with links to rc10t body threads in it where they are mounted on rc10t. Someone else might even remember a little more clearly where they are at and chime in too...hint/hint

I searched in here and only found mine...butt ugly? Perhaps I had better see what they look like first...I'm in no rush...just you know when you get a paint scheme in your head, ya kind of want to go...I will search out...if you happen upon one, please send it my way.
Thanks again,
T.

It is a strange looking body...they both are...but they may actually fit my thinking. But I did find my original body from gotta be over 20 years ago...here is a pic...I kind of want to just use it as is...but just so I can paint I might get something else...

that paint might strip off easily since its not red. I have used nitro fuel with great results even though its not really a 'cheap' alternative. I'm betting that paint would come off pretty easily anyway...

Well guys, I think it is pretty close now. A few small parts, original front bumper, and the bottoms of the shocks are coming in the mail. The white ball cups are all brittle, I have some black RPMs...but I am going to look for some titanium turnbuckles. I would like to anodize them myself...so I have to start learning how to do that. But I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. Thanks to everyone for the help and suggestions. And you were right, after all the work, it is pretty hard to think about selling it. Wife is gonna kill me if I don't. I'll still have 10 other cars and trucks...but none look as nice...Maybe I'll just hide it from her! :)
