You can't have OCD too bad if you built it that quick. :P It would have taken me a week easy as everything would have to be perfect.

The Qualifier kits had foams. Sold around 1999. They also had different bodies, instead of the Mustang and Mercedes it was a Camaro or Ford truck iirc.

I have this prob where I want a new built to display in front of the NIB, and then a period modded version next to the new built, and then a runner I don't care about getting beat up. -facepalm-

I think it was called the RC10SC (RC 10 Super Cheapo).

I'm still trying to figure out what body to stick on here! I need to dig through my storage and see if I have anything else that might fit, or if I need to start digging around the interwebs to find what will be cool on this car.

all the ds bodies show up on ebay from time to time if not regularly. You might have to pay a little more but usually worth it. I picked up the mustang & decal set and the mercedes & decal set from the same seller a month or so ago for 'bout $50 each. Seen a few bodies since then too. Good luck though...was thinkin that one you had posted above would've rocked that DS...too bad it didn't fit.

Not necessarily OCD related but I started a DS build around 10 years ago and still haven't finished. It mainly consists of a lot of GPM aluminum pieces and polished aluminum.

The HPI 68 Camaro is an almost perfect fit, that is what I have on mine.

Hey guys...here is a little tip for ya

Get the DS's wheel base to that of the NTC3 and you can use a variety of 200mm bodies.

How?....get a hold of some RPM suspension mounts....i just got the Zero Degree mounts (i dont like rear toe-in). when i mounted them the wheel base shortened to exactly that of the NTC3.

My NTC3 has a mustang body

Here it is laid on the DS

Now the intended body for the DS...a 69 mustang camaro unpainted and no mounting holes...yet

Well, I threatened to do it, and I'm doing it.
"Dark Trick" chassis conversion 8)

parts drafted-

supports and chassis template cut-

supports bent, drilled, and ano'd. chassis copied in black.

I'll get the chassis drilled and sunk this week, and reassemble everything. Then I can start fitting the body and get it ready for paint. :D
Thanks to gomachv for the help!

Chassis is drilled and countersunk. It's getting there.

I think it looks great! It's exactly what I had in mind.

Body test fit. I'll get it trimmed up and painted soon. Might get into the styrene and make a couple parts like a splitter and diffuser. I'd like to add some more of the fluorescent yellow to the body and chassis too.
