About 1 hr to go and $1025.00 and you're worried it's going to mess up your auction. :P

Unless you're running a business, nobody gets into r/c to make money. $1025 for a vintage 834 is quite a lot of money. The same issue pops up with the Tamiya re-re's. Some argue it devaules the vintage models, while others argue it makes these models more accessible to more people. I belong to the latter camp, because I am not fond of the idea that only a wealthy few can snatch these things up and then keep it in a box all for themselves. That defeats the entire purpose of the hobby.

I think this re-re is pretty cool, and from the pictures, it looks like a lot of the parts are machined from delrin? With big bore shocks? That looks nothing like the original. In fact, I'd say it looks even cooler. I'd rather have one of these on my shelf at 1/4 the price of an original...

Cool, in a quirky way. Although I must say, I massively prefer the newer (late 80's / early 90s) Yokomo YZ-10 models.

you know what? Exactly the same for me... I didn't like it when I was a teen bitd (and I couldn't get one anyway, so that wasn't too much of an issue)... but the more the years pass by the more I want one to the point that I'm SUPER happy to hear about the news of a possible re-re!!!

Rc10 rere...
834b rere...

we had a few breathtaking tamiyas too (avante, hotshot, we know the Egress will come sooner or later...)

Feels like I'm 12 y.o. again! what's next? Kyosho Optima anyone??? 8)

I'll go off-topic too...as evolutionary a role it played, I always thought this was a somewhat clunky-looking car.

Did anybody else notice the different-colored front arms? What's the deal with the mismatched black & white arms? :?

I fervently hope Kyosho doesn't "do the lemming" and hop on the re-re bandwagon. :?

I mentioned in the other thread--what's up with the different-colored front arms??

Would be nice if Kyosho did a re-re of the Lazer ZX/R. I don't like getting gouged for spares.

If they did do a re-re, I imagine that would be quite far down the list. ;)

x2  , and I can remember:

1) when there wasn't quite enough of them at the track for thier own class, and they would "race" in 2wd, and I, being 15, felt it was like cheating.

2) They looked funny, like space ships.

The one I recently restored turned out too nice to run, so I too would love another that I could run.
