I call it gold. Don calls it gold. i think its a bit darker than the champagne of the original cars. From the pics it looks like the rims are darkest yet.

I like don's work, I just dont care that dark of a gold. I wonder who did atlas's parts b/c those have a lighter gold look to them.

I don't really see it as darker. But then again I have always been very bad at judging shades and colors. I feel the rims are definitely darker but I suppose I know for sure when every thing is next to each other. I'll take a group photograph when that happens.

I like both the light and darker(more orangey) gold. The latter gives a much better contrast with the white or black parts IMO.

So I opened all the packages that have accumulated while I was gone and I have a few observations. Below you can see the comparison between the Bart's parts arms and the atlas arms. The Bart's arms frankly are not what I was expecting if I had known that was their Idea of finish I would not have bothered. The chamfers are uneven which means they have some sort of positioning error. Their crooked stamp is not well placed and cut off. The rear arms are very slight compared to the Atlas arms. To be fair though I suppose they are less concerned with looks and more about performance, IDK.

Next complaint is the front rims I got from Pargu The rims I'd gotten before were perfect these however are not. The center hubs are machined differently leaving an uneven amount of room for the bearings.

The shock collars I got are OK but lots of chatter marks hopefully They will polish out.

Then there is the the HG shock collars partially destroyed by the post office.

Won't do any thing about the Bart's arms. Will definitely contact Pargue about these bunk front rims. Not sure what to do about the shock collars.

you, almost every part you have for your builds matches mine minus some anodizing.

was that first shock collar the pargustore one? looks pretty decent.

Are you planning on running some of the newer parts if you cant get a metal one of it?

It looks like the Bart's arms started with extra support on the back side and they decided to save some weight. I think your right tho, Bart's were made to be run not admired.

I read in some of your posts DMAT that ya we are kind of running in parallel on our builds. The first collars is a Pargu one they are okay shape wise but the picture does not really show the chattering very well but I hope they will come out OK. Do you mean parts from the re-re. I hope not too I want this to 100% metal I'm still talking to some job shops about the bulk head other wise I'll have every thing I need. Temporarily I might run a plastic bulk head though.

Gomachv, you mean on the rears or all of them?

No, on the fronts if you look it almost looks like there were two ovals and they decided to chop the rearward one off, which is why it has a funny shape and lettering cut off

Oh I see now. That makes sense. Although in that case I wish they hadn't.

Seeing it like this (picture blown up) really shows that chamfer being off. I got two sets of both rears and fronts and half of them are off.

I dont think mine had the name put into it so maybe this was a prototype before it got chopped?
