That's a beautiful, unique take on the Samurai, I like yours *much* better than box-art. You've individualized and personalized your Samurai--you owned the build, now it's Samyourai.

How about using Kyosho Optima press fit hexes for the wheel mount?

That's what I did and it worked for a while but one of the 4 wheels came loose twice in the same heat. I'm thinking of trying mr4bc axles with mx4 wheels next.

I'm sure this has been discussed before. What's the best way to get your old white plastic parts looking new again or at least better? I was thinking about a 90% water 10% bleach soak. Is this a bad idea? Also will putting the parts in semi boiling...

Thanks for the info on Super Clean. I went looking for some today, didn't find it. So I was going to get some Simple Green instead when I passed by the Soft Scrub products and found this....

So I did a quick soak and scrub on my rear end...

Just received some White J Concepts Rulux wheels but they appear to be more of a pale blue grey colour is this normal. The other wheel is a JCRacing white for comparison

You don't *need to do anything to run the front B4 wheels, although the offset is more inboard than the old 2.0/2.1 wheels. If that bothers you, you can run GT front axles which are wider and correct the offset.

Just got handed this

Other half will kill me so need to wait until the weekend before I get a good look at what condition its in. Doesn't seem too bad? I have a bag of bits which has the motor in it. Mind you it does stink! You know that old...

So recently I got hold of a car I always wanted but avoided getting because of the reputation of their fragility , the Marui Samurai , In my mind they are one of the nicest looking cars from the 80's and when I decided to get one I was sort of...

Just swapped the motor for a bit of a mystery motor I got recently , it's a helicopter motor with a nice red alloy front can end a bit like a Kyosho Le Mans can, it's a triple wind probably about 18 turn , goes pretty well with it :D in my front...

I got this off fleabay a while back and finally got some pics done to share with yall.

It looks a little rough, but actually the car is in pretty good shape. Hardly a sign of use on the chassis bottom. Most of the wear is due to weathering more...

Has anyone any good tips on how to get original white parts clean and white again? Acetone and Bleach don't work! :shock:

i've used castrol super clean and had decent results getting parts clean, but once that white plastic gets that yellowish stain to it, its pretty much impossible to get WHITE again. i've tried bleach, softscrub, boiling them in bleach... nothing...
