Looking great! This is making me want to put some electronics in mine.
Do it! Just don't enter yours in the same build of the month as I do. I don't want you taking all the votes for anyone who would vote for a Pro XRT just because one shows up to the party
Which old school Le Mans motor that will make it's way in was decided today. There's vintage Novak and Futaba electronics currently waiting to be mounted. Now I'm patiently waiting for AM crystals to arrive.
Suppose I should start on the mold for the repo XRT body.
New XRT wheels & caps on, camber and tow set, and shocks mounted.
Anyone know anywhere that sells spring collars for 10mm shocks. I'd like to get the really thin ones so they're not so noticeable up against the white shock clamps.
The spring retainers/perches for the Traxxas 2600 series big bore shocks are pretty slim and unassuming. These are the OG big bores not the MAXX trucks ones that are like 8 inches long.
They come in the 2668 spring retainer pack. Two trees per pack. So you'd have to buy 2 to get 4 upper spring retainers. BUT I am unsure of the diameter of the "Big Bore" shocks!
EDIT: I found the O.D. of the body being reported as 0.5" and/or 13mm.

If you can find them, B4 locators should be close enough. That is what I used on some Duratrax shocks, which are similar.
You bet, that's what I've been on the lookout for. And of course as soon as I make a post about it, I find them this morning.
As far as tires, I plan on Schumacher Vee 2 for the rear, but fronts are undecided. I was thinking JConcepts Carvers or Schumacher Stagger Rib. What are some other good choices for front stadium truck tires?
Much thanks to Ed for the white spring retainers/locators that look great resting up against his shock clamps. Much better than the large black spring retainers pictured in the previous post.
Did notice when installing the spring cups that the original blue shock O-rings, while still visually in good condition, leak more than I'm comfortable with. So need to replace them.
Some electronics progress today. Shortened up the servo wire, it was ridiculously long. Cleaned up and installed the ESC & receiver. Next is to rebuild & install the motor, also waiting for tires.
Freshened up 240S. All new Kyosho springs, Trinity brushes, bearings, 19T single armature and MCI decal. I bought this motor on ebay and it unfortunately came with a double wind armature, the 240S is a 19T single motor. I came across a brand new Trinity/Epic 19x1 armature so I picked it up for this motor. Not exactly correct but at least it's now the correct turns and winds.
I purchased this Truck on Ebay.It is a Team edition.
Does anyone know the deffrent between Team Edition and the ordinary XRT

I think the Sport model had plastic shocks instead of the Teflon-coated Equalizer shocks on the Pro model, and the Sport model was RTR with a mechanical speed control, cheap servos and radio gear. The Sport model may have even come with bushings...
I just picked up one of these in a box lot and am trying to figure out how old it is and what its worth. It appears to be all original tires rims and body. Chassis is in nice shape, minimal scrapes and scuffs on the chassis and front kick up plate....
I got a great deal on this truck from a TC member. Came to me as you see it with exception of the motor. I added a new LeMans Super Pro Hi torque modified to it. It also came with all the typical extras that you get after a new build from kit. I...

Some updated pics. This truck is officially on my completed list.
The wheels I painted with Tamiya Gunmetal for polycarbonate. I'll be using this color again in the future.
Build thread for the unknown Kyosho Pro XRT 1/10th electric stadium truck . I have always thought it was a great looking truck. I would happen across a random picture of the truck when looking over vintage RCCA magazines from the mid 90's, and tell...

Get thread Lavigna, and helpful. Wow, that Tamiya gold/yellow is fantastic, I agree it's much much better than the mustard yellow. Thinking I might start a build thread for my Pro XRT after I get a few more parts/items squared away and when I get...
Hello, I am new to this forum. Currently I am trying to fix my kyosho pro-xrt I noticed the main differential gear of the stealth styled transmission has overheated to the point where the inner plastic of the gear melted no longer allowing the truck...

Update*
The RC10GT differential gear will work granted you do not over tighten the super sprint trans mission screws (screw that screw both halfs of transmission case). I have been driving it in the house and so far so good. Will post more updates...
Since I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to vintage electronics I’m hoping some of you can identify the ESC on the Kyosho Pro XRTs box art.
Doesn’t seem like anything high performance because there seems to be no heat sink on it.
I've been trawling the net for any mention of a kyosho xrt at big race meetings but I've come up with nothing. Ive seen a Japanese nationals report from 1993 that shows the pro-X buggy being raced but it's like no one raced these trucks....

Bully is serious. The whole thing disappeared. Claims were useless. At least Bully got his money back... I'm still trying to get some of mine, but I'm pretty sure it's a lost cause...
