Thanks for all the info. You shoud have told me that you posted the set-up here, then I wouldn't have palyed 20 questions with you at the shop yesterday.

Can you order me the parts needed to do the rear CVD conversion for Garys gold tub car? Let me know because I'll be putting a list of parts together that he need to get in addition to the axle conversion. I'm be sending him up next weekend to get what you have. I'll probably give you a call durring the week let you know what we need so you can hold them for us. He probably will be buying a few of the parts back from you that you bought from him yesterday....
I have a few sets of the parts at the shop to do the conversion, except bearings, I need to order some bearings.

Are you running an original slipper on that car?
Yes, the original slipper. Your really not going to need a slipper clutch with a 17.5 and current compound tires on our track.
Darn, I just installed a hydra drive system on my XX, but if there's lots of grip on your track, then I should just discard the hydra for weight savings sake. Right

i was asking about the 4500 on the car, because i'm going to be running the 10t, so i was wondering if it was going to fit. Thanks for the info Mark.

I really need to go up there, I'll probably go Saturday, just to run a couple of packs and get the feel for it. :D

As a racer, I would ditch the Hydradrive (nobody really ran the Hydradrive in stock back in the day, only in modified class on rutted-out tracks). Speed in a spec class race (i.e. stock) is all about power to weight ratio. Same goes for my running the 3200 lipo, lower weight.

Normally, not open on Sundays, but I'll have the shop open on Sundays till Vintage Nats are over.

for your rears i see that you went with the 1.32 shaft. why not a 1.02?

I wanted to come up with a setup that worked with the car as box stock as possible. Team cars still came with 1.32 shafts. 1.02 with less spacers would work just as well. The 30 degree castor blocks and the parts I used to fit currrent tires are the only parts you need to get a well balanced, competitive car. That same setup would work on any RC10 from the championship edition to the worlds car with minimal additional parts.

a little bit of velcro by the steering rack in the front, and the wing wire holds in the rear.

are you concerned about your servo, since you don't have a servo saver?
