That is one fantastic looking Supershot! Always loved the Supershot, the Hotshot was awesome but flawed. The Supershot was everything the Hotshot was, but without the flaws (well maybe not with out all the flaws....LOL).

Flaw #1: no steering
Flaw #2: inefficient tranmission
Flaw #3: hard to get into the radio box after assembly
Flaw #4: big goofy front bumper. It hangs black pipe all too well.

I still enjoyed racing it though, don't get me wrong. If you could fix the first 2, the others you can live with.

Nice Shot you have.

I wish i can post pics dont know how.

My Modded super shot has Top Force steerring bell cranks. No Bump steer and so much more lock.

Drive train is rather free if you go through it with fine comb. Mine took a while but is very free now.

I used a re realise top chassis with the inspection hatch to help with minor problems. A very tight squeeze with bell crank set up and re positioned servo.
Very lucky todays electronics are so small. No way could this been done in 80's

The front bumper i like but i guess you can cut them down.

Im still working on mine but hope to post pics once done.

I watched a near box stock re-re Hot Shot kick butt down in melbourne recently and it goes to show that with a little bit of work there is life in these old gems yet.

Does the Super Shot undertray dramaticaly improve chassis strength over the Hot Snot?

I really think that the Super Shot under tray only helps chassis to glide over the terrain when chassis is bottomed out Jason.

The CRP item helps the standard battery swing GRP to be stronger as its one piece and slightly bigger i think. The S/S under guard helps this problem but with no extra strength.

Hey Jason i smell a Super shot coming any plans???

would love to go head to head with you on this.

I couldn't see it NOT making it a little stronger. But not that necessary. The CRP battery door is considerably stiffer than the stock piece. I would go that route before I started looking for the undertray. I would say it is not worth the weight gain (it is already very heavy) and it also hampers the ground clearance.

Mmmm Hot Shot II.

Just bought 3 of them and with boxes.

Will get them in 2 weeks from Kiwi Land.

Getting too many Shots i think. 2 Super Shots. 2 Hot Shots. 3 Hot Shot II's .2 Boomerangs. Lastly a Thunder Shot.

I can see myself getting into Avanti's next. Than again cost a lot of $$$$.
