Im thinking in honor on the love of AE, we ought to hold it in SoCal. Perhaps a tour of the AE factory and a chance to meet Cliff lett, Gene, and the AE family!
Besides, give us West Coasters a chance to have a meet on the left coast!

which speed do you set your camera ? In thiscondition I think to set around 800 ISO, with a speed around 1/1000 depends where you are located on the track and adjust operture with the exposure you have...

Do you use flash ? If yes that's May be the problem due to the synchro speed ?
Cedric, When I first got there the first thing I did was to play around with the ISO setting (as I always do even on a real race course dependent on the conditions) and found that 800 gave the best results. Later on when I confered with Erich, he has his set on 800 as well. Finally I asked the RC Driver photog and, as you might have guessed, he mentioned 800 would be the best. So I know I was correct on the ISO.

The thing I can't figure out is Erich exposure's where much better than mine. Mine were underexposed and we pretty much had the same settings, same body, the only difference being the lense. I am not sure what he was using lense wise, but I had my 70-200 2.8. You suggested 1/1000...... there is no way that would have worked. 1000 would have been black or underexposed. Both Erich and I were going back and forth from 90 to maybe 250. I spent most of my time at 125 or 180.

I honestly think I need some new equipment. Like I mentioned, I have used the same one for 8 years now and god only knows how many frames I have shot. As with any piece of precise equipment, this precision will degrade over time. I have not had any maintainence done on it ever.

I started with the flash and was having mixed success, so I stopped. And yes, synchros probably did have something to do with it.

This is my favorite..... good clarity and I slowed the shutter speed down enough to give it some motion.

NOTE: What I am going to do it post everything in a gallery and if anyone wants anything in any format, just let me know. Scott, when I get this up, or for anyone for that matter, just let me know what you want via PM.

I want the next Nats to be in my back yard. That way I can walk out the back door and BAM..... I'm there.

Honestly, the more you have of these "nationals" in sprinkled locations (more than once a year), the less turnout you will have overall. With exception of an on-road version, I think everybody would be better off trying to give their local track a shot. Bring the well equipped vintage rides out to run with the new stuff, and before you know it, you will spawn your own vintage group.
And run locally, weekly to boot.

I'll be in Waterbury this time next year. See yall there.

Well, I have already convinced myself I want to increase the number of 4wd entires for next year, just not sure what I want to run. I have an idea as bscotti and I have been bouncing it back and forth, but that will be our little secret. 8)

Coverage and running a class will make it interesting, I will be running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

i remember you showing me that pic up at the track. what makes it cool, in my opinion, is you can tell the car is in motion because of the jconcept rims. if they were dish wheels, i don't think it would've looked as good.

damn, that is one sweet picture. scr8p you should make that the new forum pic. my buddy use to work for lamar advertising and he can get that blown up poster sized for ya and you can slap it on the old basement wall. he use to do that for some guys when he would letter race car trailers and stuff.

Hey Cline, when ever possible, can you post a picture of the VONATs shirt signed by all the RC10Talk members. that was an awesome Idea.

I wish I had taken my camera, but since there were so many photogs, I figured, they'll pop up somehow on the net.

Off course Jay did a great job, the guy making the prints also did a great job, now we have to wait till it comes out in RCdriver magazine, I'm buying two copies one to read and one to put away
Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what R/C car you're gonna get next!!!
