well, the chassis mods are done. :D

i still have to cut down the nose brace tubes, and work on mounting a servo and the body. maybe today yet. but, the hard part's done.

nice job on shortening the chassis,
is the idea to have the nose of the beetle protected by the "ae " front plate?

well................ya, but i hadn't really planned on that. it's just where the body ended up sitting when i moved the nose plate back.

What are you using to "re-anodize" the cut edges...A orange highlighter?... :?

I've used those to fill in scratches on the orange/gold chassis... :wink:

ya, and orange sharpie. it's not perfect, but when the car's together, it doesn't jump out at you as much as the bare aluminum did.

the other thing i thought of using is that tamiya stuff that shodog uses on his rims. at least that way i could tint it to match better.

hmmm... I know that Krylon makes an "anodized" paint finish in a few different colors. I've see the blue in use, it's pretty darn good.

I'm reading all these replies and am wondering why don't you get a Sand scorcher chassis and drill the holes to mount the RC10 components to it?
