Some bodies again, the red Formula twins from Italy. The left should be Associated Ferrari 312 of 1978, the right is a Parma Ferrari of unknown year. If someone knows which Ferrari version this is and maybe year, please let me know.

The one on the left definitiely is the Associated Ferrari 312 B3 part # 2113 circa 1978 or 79 and I'm not sure about year of the Parma Ferrari F1 part #1269 definitely Parma International.

The white Porsche 917 body could be Del Mar or R.C.E. from circa 1969-70 and could be a material called Dulon or perhaps fiberglass. I had one of these bodies on my Dynamic sidewinder car which is displayed elsewhere on 10talk only mine was molded in blue.

Very nice and well preserved Ferrari bodies.

I think the white on the 917 is thin paper on the backside of the lexan, for stacking/storage?

Thanks OCA1! No, the bodies were painted for display for a shop. The painter went with a lot of details what can´t be seen very good at this picture. Some other interesting bodies could be found at the 1/8 body gallery at Classic RC, and more to come later after cleaning and some TLC. Most of these pictures were painted by the same painter, a former SG factory driver.

This was just a quick shot as I really like these bodies, but it was too dark for good pictures.

BTW if you´re looking for pictures of a factory painted body, there is this MRP Alfa 33 Can-Am of 1974 at the Classic RC gallery again.

Thanks guys.
Yes the 917 K Coupe is a Lexan body with thin paper applied from factory. This is a very early Lexan body, but all of the early Associated bodies were available also made from Buturate or Dulon, as Alan mentioned. The thin paper could be seen at some other early Associated bodies also.

Which other manufacturers were selling this type of 917K beside AE? It was a common body in the early times beside the M20.

Al
Wow, a Dynamics! :D Very nice car.

Actually I found the Ferrari bodies at my catalogs. It´s just I can´t find the release date of the Parma Ferrari, also which Ferrari type this is in reality. The AE Ferrari is at least 1978, I have seen a 1978 catalogue somewhere.

Talking about early 1/8 cars, someone have knowledge on LEGA?

Quite right there DennisM, eyesights not what it use to be and a lot more than that actually.

Also, after finding an early Dynamics ad in a 1970 magazine I'm going to correct myself as it was called Dylon rather than Dulon.

Dylon is correct.

Hi V12! Very nice paint jobs.

Fantastic collection of 1/8 bodies. I like this MRP Alfa 33 Can-Am very much and it would look amazing on a 1/8 MRP car, like the C-510 or 180 pro. Can you tell me more about the MCV RC Speedway Hobby stickers on these bodies?

Aaron, thanks for showing pictures of Dynamics bodies.
Is this Dylon similar to ABS plastics used by other manufacturers?

Hi OCA1!
Thanks! My pleasure, showing these vintage bodies.
The Alfa 33 also is one of my favourite bodies and one of my oldest as well.

Maybe you like also this one. I really can´t decide which of my 1/8th bodies is my overall favourite, but for sure it´s one of my Top 5 picks. Who knows the type and make of this body?

Regarding the stickers, I´m not sure but think it´s the manufacturer I mentioned recently.

Seems a lot of people like the old 1/8 bodies. :D
But I really would like to see more people bringing life to this thread. It is not my thread, everybody is invited showing their cars, bodies, whatever ... related to vintage 1/8 cars. I can see there had been a lot of 1/8 threads in the past, but currently it seems a little too quiet.
