Quick story with the tires, this came with the original white wheels, not sure of the exact size but the rears were a little smaller diameter than the fronts. I am pretty sure the fronts are 1.9". The wheels were a bit scratched up and had some paint on them so I wet sanded them down at bit and ended up spraying them with Tamiya white primer.
I wanted to keep the rims but put modern tires on them so I bought a set of Proline ribbed fronts and Schumacher carpet rears. To get them to fit on the rim I just a section out of the tire and glued them back together with tire glue.
Your build is coming out so nice. I'm taking a ideas for my own.
Any ideas on what you are doing for the body and wing?

I bought a Mirage body and wing from Team Blue Groove, it's a reproduction but it looks pretty good.
Here is the body, it's a reproduction Mirage from Team Blue Groove in Canada. It came with a new rear wing. I had the wing wire and buttons from the kit, I just had to take some paint off of them before I put them on the new wing. It's hard to tell in the picture but the black and red are metal flake which ended up looking pretty cool.
I bought a set of RC10 Cliff Lett decals form MCI Racing for some of the big Reedy and Associated logos, I have used them before and the quality is very good. Some of the other decals like the Cobra Lathe are from my OG stash
Ended up making a last minute change with the rear wheels, I bought another old car (rc10 champion edition) for another build I am starting and it had a pretty decent set of 2.0 rear wheels. I was looking around at some cars from back then and I saw a few that had black wheels. I primed and painted these and they came out pretty good.
A few more pictures of the finished car and the parts I ended up using.
Started with a #6035 Team Car kit with bearings
3D primted front arms
25 degree front caster blocks
Lunsford Titanium turnbuck set
Lunsford Titanium hinge pin set
RC Screwz stainless steel screw set
Steering bellcranks from a RC10 Worlds car
Hi Tech HS-625 metal gear servo
Kimbrough servo saver
Novak XXL receiver
Novak T4 speed controler
'Reedy' 17 turn double
New fiberglass rear shocktower
new bearings for the rear hubs
3D printed rear Andy's arms
Boki gear cover
Team Blue groove mirage body and wing
Proline ribbed front tires
J Concepts carpet rear tires
Looks totally legit John -- like a real vintage race car.
I really like the paint scheme and the use of white and black wheels.
Very nice. Well done sir!
I ended up making a late in the game change to the front end.
I was looking around ShapeWays and found these 'aftermarket' front arms, they are modified to move the front wheels forward by 5mm which gives the car a bit longer wheelbase but a much meaner stance. The designer said they it will make the car handle a bit better on carpet tracks since it pushes the wheels up a bit so the noseplate should not scrape as much.
I have a left over black C Mark Team Car chassis from my Worlds car build a few years ago. I decided that I wanted to build another RC10 so I started collecting parts. First thing I purchased was a rere Worlds car stealth and shocks set. One night...

I used RPM ball Cups (where I could) as the ones from the car were really worn and I dont like the rere day glow color. I had to use a couple black AE ball ends I had on the shock tower side as two RPMs Cups would foul on each other. Jconceps...
Here we go following on from my other thread(Where I bought all kinds of stuff) I now have lots of scrubbed up and cleaned parts all ready to assemble. I should have enough for a runner but also to rebuild a Team car into a runner. Just going to...

Ah cheers, I've got four here and they all look the same. I'll fit em and see what it's like. Learning all the time! 8)
Now that my kids have some interest in RC, I decided to pull out my old RC10 Team car. After lurking the forums a bit, it seems like a common theme. This was my second proper RC car and something worked forever to purchase. The only problem was I...

I picked up some deans connectors, and took it for a drive for the first time in 25 years. Well, until the pinion set screw backed out... Too much fun.
What options are there for modern tires? I would imagine the rerelease would be close, but would...
Do you notice any handling differences between the RC10 graphite team car and the RC10 team car with tub chassis (both fitted with white nylon parts throughout)?
I haven't driven either yet. Been a while...greetings all :)

I would say the tub chassis has more flex and probably a lot bigger sweet spot for setup
I found my very first RC car which I been drooling over on the shelf at LHS back in 1986-87 (not sure which year), know i was 15-16 years old when I finally had enough money saved to pluck it off the shelf at Pat's Hobbies in Oak...

Yeah guys. No parts pandering on the board. You wanna do that Facebook is the place for that
As for the lowering kit I agree with lonestar. You built it this way for your own reasons back then. It's in the car's pedigree. You could always...
I bought this new in 1990 I think. It's an Rc10 team car in kit #6035. I have never raced, just enjoyed whoppin all the Tyco's. I would like to clean it up for my son and I, where should I start and where is the cheapest source for parts? Do Hobby...

Looks like you have most of everything you need to get started. I would get a new battery and charger and give it a go.
