Going through some stuff and found this. ESC box with instructions and receipt from February 2001. I still have the ESC and motor.

Given their condition, they would probably sell for more than that now.

Lost about 30 kit boxes to water in the bomb shelter I was using to store them temporarily while I get the shop up and going. Been drying them out, but most are pretty well gone. Luckily all the contents are fine. This will force me to build them I suppose. Ugh.
That hurts even all the way over here in IL. For what it's worth (which is never much...lol), my heart sunk a lil' for ya.

A key reminder to always store stuff off the ground on pallets or blocks or whatever..
I've learned that lesson the hard way too a ways back. But thank goodness it wasn't anything of this importance.

Working from home still so I walked down by the frozen lake on lunch. The ground is like mush from all the snow melting. 2 weeks below zero and 60 today. Feels great out! 8)

Reached 70 today and saw the first toad of the year in the driveway tonight after picking my daughter up from a school thing. Always nice to see as a sign of spring. Hard to believe these things survive the cold winters here.

I'm not sure if that is a joke, so I'll just say "They do?"

Ok, my curiosity got the better of me and I see that it is actually true. I thought maybe you would say an American Crow's call comes from it's beak and an Australian Crow calls from down undah!! :P

This is actually an older picture. This exact engine is no longer with us, a roller lifter failure took out the block. The fresh engine is on the stand, I just need to get the motivation to put it in.

Hallasan (Mt. Halla) on Jeju Island, Korea. And some mid-slope pine forest along the trail.

7m+ tall lava column in an extraordinarily named lava tube that I can't spell nor have the inclination to look up at this time. I can/will if anyone is THAT interested. But same trip, same island.

Hope you're doin' something fun.

Sadly, the fresh engine has been sitting there for about a year. Right about the time I got everything needed, all the COVID stuff started.

Being stuck at the house more, I shifted more heavily into RC again. My fishing has suffered too.
