I ran out of bearings for the tranny & rear carriers so I need to order some more. I wanted to finish off the rear end to get the whole picture

The build is coming along quite nicely, please continue to take photos on a regular basis and update!

Thanks sir, unfortunately I've been living up to my screen name and being - sofaking lazy! In my defense though it's hockey season and I just bought a beautiful new LED tv

I definitely plan on getting the trans and rear end all buttoned up so i should have some updates over the weekend.

Okay, as promised. Tranny loaded with Thorp 48p gears, pinned diff and Kose axles in place. I'm stoked on how the rear end has come together so far. Any comments or criticism are always welcome. Thanks, Dave

First off thanks for the compliment and yes those are 12mm adapters. Funny thing is I have a set of white hpi stars for RC10's but they seem to be made for 3/16 axles (which is weird, a 2 inch wheel for modern axles). Luckily I had these adapters in my parts stash since the Kose's are old school 1/4 taper style and these will allow me to use a set of hpi stars designed for Kyosho hexes. When I mocked it up everything fit like a glove  . I just wish I knew who made them, I'm sure someone on here will.

I do have the tranny brace but I'm short one stainless button head so I'll have to do some fishing to see if I can come up with another. Thanks, Dave

Dave,
Looks awesome. Another great build in the works!! I also really like the Kose axles on there.
Who made the aluminum bearing dust cover on the trans?

Thanks for the compliment sir, unfortunately I don't know who made those. I wound up with two that came on a couple cars I received in a trade lot. No one chimed in with a manufacturer on the one I used for an earlier build, maybe someone will this time.

The guy that owns TBG is really nice. I've ordered a couple of kits from him and got him to drill one of the chassie plates for a stealth tranny. I'm going to assemble 1 more car with the stealth and i think that will be it.
