I use Traxxas Slash receiver boxes in all my trail rigs and have never lost an RX. As you can see in the Sub video I am not afraid of water!
Along with waterproofing, I'd also stick with bushings rather than changing them out to bearings. Bushings are low maintenance and don't require much attention, whereas bearings must be removed and cleaned EVERY time you get them wet if you want them to still be bearings when you come back to the truck the next time.
That is a great point! If you use bearings, use the rubber shielded type, pop the shield off with the tip of an exacto knife, repack the bearing with marine grease and they will not rust! Make sure you pop the seals back on after!

Rod, I cant wait to go trail running with ya once I move out. I think I'm going to eventually get a Trail Finder next...I should start a Trail Funder too, just one letter off. My KOH Toyota might be a bit over kill for trail running so I got to get a Trail Finder

Besides the rear shock placement, I don't see much difference performance wise. Why is the TF II so much better?

Transfer case and better drive components, and the knock off "Tamiya" body set that you don't have to pay big bucks for each and every piece! This RC4wd one comes as a kit!

Now that I look at it: http://store.rc4wd.com/Trail-Finder-2-Truck-Kit-wMojave-Body-Set_p_2108.html

What's better?....... Everything!

Okay, maybe you convinced me that the TF II is better

Someday after the move has settled down and the wifey has stopped buying new furniture I will be able to buy one.

Why don't you just grow a pair? And stop being "P" whipped! :P

If you knew how much I've spent on my Wraith lately then you would know why :( :D :(

I've got to bring that out rigging for a while before I get a TF
