i bet you were. it's a factory gear cover, they normally do not go cheap.

that's the right style for his car, but it's the wrong plastic. it's clear, not opaque/frosted.
I was not trying to low ball, I just had a price already in my head without going down the path of actually looking for one myself. But this is good to know. Thanks for adding some clarification.

So I ended up pulling my RC10 out of storage at the prodding of my co-workers, and decided to do what it needed to get it running again. My son is 11, just about the right age to get into it, and I figured, what the heck?
So when i ordered the many parts and pieces for my rebuild, i must have accidentally ordered a driver dude instead of a wing...please dont hate... but ill use the guy for a differenct rc10 i have. How do i mount the guy, and how do i go about...

As far as I know, just tape or double sided tape. I don't think there were ever any actual fasteners.
Must say though, I bought the driver too, but it kinda sucks because it doesn't look like the box art dude with the separate helmet. I have some...
