Axles work perfectly!.. now where's my Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish?... :D

Now for the hard part,..deciding on a color.

I was leaning towards a 70's deep purple metalflake,...but now I'm not so sure...

Most everything I have is red, I need something other than red.

Bright yellow?, Blue metalflake?...

 :D

New bling...

Just arrived this morning, these look even better in person.

I think the old chrome plastic Proline's may go up on either the 'bay or the BST soon.

There's just something so cool about shiny aluminum... :D

I think the lexan side panels look pretty decent.

So far, so good.

Krylon Fusion worked great!

Baja Bug in the background will be getting new Krylon treatment soon too...

That manx is awesome. The vinyl top will look sweet. Great job on the build. Can't wait to see final paint.

It's been a long time since I've visited the other makes/models section, I won't be leaving it so long in the future if this is the sort of project hanging around in here.

Awesome vision Sir, a great project 8)

I'm on the fence over the vinyl top..it would look cool, (..but lots of work) but with a quick shot of satin black on the outside of the already detailed roof, it would still look pretty good.

It's finding the time that's the tough part..

I was able to use a bunch of otherwise spare parts for this one....unfortunately, I've also bought an equal amount of new parts as well.

I guess it's just part of the hobby..
I like the variety of builds in this forum, it keeps me inspired.

Autoparts stores have (I think it's Krylon) "Bumper Paint" that's matte and really tough with the plasticisers :?: :? in it that make it work really good on the lexan. I would go with a spray job, because you gotta get that thing in some sand, and you may just wanna put it on it's roof a couple times.
