It would be awesome to get a few others there with their RC10's running in the stock class. Whether I'm one of many or just one, I know what I want to be racing. My thoughts are that my racing prime has passed. I will be there as a taxi for my boys. If I'm there though I might as well do something. If I know I'm not going to win with my B4, why not run the RC10, open some eyes and have some fun?!?!?

Come on Reg, you can pit with me :)

I will be down there to check this out. Not just an RC10, but the Pro Radiant(!) at the nats seals the deal.

Put a couple of IF's in front of the next section, like: 'if stock class still existed in Belgium' ... I'd be running my updated-vintage stuff at the races for sure. But honest to the fact, I don't even get to the track with a modern car anymore (actually the youngest one I own is over 10 years old).
I've made up for this by running in a 2-days international event for the past 2 years and the cars I used did great and certainly did wake some intrest from other racers. But what really kept me down is my own lack of practise and limited driving skill, oh, and modern batteries, moters, charger, ESC: things I can't justify to myself with such little track time.
What I want to say is, yes these oldies are capable and I love your enthusiasm, but don't be too harsh on the others here; not all of us are just keeping at bashing level out of free choice.

I hope I didn't come across as being harsh towards anyone. I understand not everyone is a racer. I also appreciate all forms of rc enthusiasm, including the collectors, bashers and replicators. Racing just happens to be my preference.

What's interesting is that as much as I enjoy racing, I enjoy it even more with the older cars. I haven't driven my B4 since I got the RC10 running.

Hi guys, having read through this topic its got me all fired up to convert a recently aquired radiant
into a pro version.
What I would like to do is have a go at making the two side plates, has anyone got a template drawing
with dimensions on that I could use?

Totally agree, have been using my RC10 Worlds for the last 2 years, with brushed motors and the YZ10 Pavidis, its just so much more fun
cheers

KYOW5029W if I remember right. With some luck I will find time to start working on the Pro Radiant project cars soon. I am starting to wind down on all my RC10 projects so time should start to free up some. Of course, we are about to start the fall session of the JConcepts Supercup series, complete with a vintage class!!!! Of course, all vintage questions are to be directed to Ruffy or me so I expect to stay busy. I've already been dealing with a bunch of build questions, despite a fairly thorough step by step build thread I created for anyone to view, complete with pictures.

There is finally an update to report! I am almost finished with the first of 2 belt drive modern Pro Radiants. I will post pics later today if I can find the time to take pics. A couple (including Mike Dunn) have already seen some spy shots and Ruffy came by last night to check it out in person. Just remember, it's not a replica or restoration but a modern racer! Stay tuned.....
