cleaning tips

Post by wyattroa »

I was just wondering how everyone cleans there buggy and truck.. I just took my two off the shelve after they have been sitting there for about 15 years un-used.. they have some dirt, grease, and grime on them.. i would like to get them to the new look again.. All my arms are block and not white so there is no fading. Any tips?

i had always used simple green until i ran out and had to borrow some cleaner from my wife. i have since stockpiled on this stuff because it does a better job than the simple green i had been using. use a pipe cleaner in the hinge pin holes tooth brush on the rest.

And it will give your ride a nice citrus scent :P . I will have to try it on my next buggy.

I use Super Clean on all the plastic except the Lexan. It's also hard on aluminum. I use Dawn dishwashing detergent, Soft Scrub, Goo Gone, Gunk hand cleaner and a number of other things too. Some really dirty cars have gotten hit with the garden hose before disassembly.

Gotta throw out the Oxyclean & superhot water, and all the grease, dirt and crap just floats to the top of the water
