Help with a stupid question?

Post by Kayne »

Is the B4 still in production? Or has associated moved on to the next model?B44? I have been on the associated website and can't find any production dates. Well the reason I am asking this question is I came across a B4 stealth nib with the shrinkwrap still on it for just under $200. is it worht it? I feel dumb for asking this but I just can't find the answer.

Hi Kayne,

First rule - the only "stupid" question is the one you dont ask mate! We are here to help!

As Scampi pointed out - the B4 is still the current race 2wd buggy by Associated. Prices vary from 180 USd through to 240 USd on websites. Tower offers the best deal if you are a member of their super saver club, brings the price way down.

The B44 is Associated's current 1/10th 4wd offering.

Cheers

Get the team version, not the factory team one. The factory team comes with a few nice and unnecessary extras, but the big thing is the carbon chassis. Most racers swap out the stiff carbon chassis with the plastic one that comes with the rtr and team version.

It is one of the most capable 2wd buggies you can get right now.

Actually, the team car now comes with the plastic chassis in the kit, not the carbon one. This has been happening for all of this year as far as I am aware. At least associated listens to their customers!

Of course there may be a few shops with old stock that still have the carbon chassis in them, however they have been coming out of the factory with the plastic chassis.

Yuo are right though - the Team car is more than enough for the average racer. Like most of this hobby the "bling" is mostly useless except for attempting to Phyche out the competition or simply for looks alone.

cheers
