Any ideas as to why the nose plate is a differen't color that the pan? Can't remember why except the origonal nose plate was bent and I replaced it long ago.

Yeah, one was anodized in a separate batch than the other. The same question has been raised on the anodize tint grade to associated, and as far as I can recall, there was no intention on the shade of gold. The color simply just differed depending on the batch they received from the metal finisher. Hope this helps answer your question.
