I,m putting a TRX3 together and have come across two different types of steering blocks,
First, part No.2737 which is the same as fitted to the TRX1 and when fitted to the "3", spacers
are used to vary the front ride height, also the steering bellcrank spacers are moved accordingly
to eliminate bump steer
Second part No.2536 there are no spacers required to mount these in the castor blocks
Which set should I use? and what differences between the two will I notice?
The advantage of having the steering spindles adjusted with spacers is that in the "low" position, you can readjust your ride height with spring preload (to get back to the same ride height you had as in the high position). and your front arms will be at an angle (with relationship to the ground) that allows the front end to handle rutted turns more easily. In the high position, with the chassis at its normal ride height, you will have a slighlty more progressive front suspension that will usually result in more steering and a more responsive car. This is a very minute adjustment, and to undersand it best you need to try it back to back on your car to feel what that change makes. I personally like the adjustible over the static for this very reason. -Jeff
Took my old A stamp to the track on Saturday, was great fun. Love how it drives. Lots of roll though!
Thing is, i broke 2 steering blocks just slightly clipping ropes.
Bit of a pain as none seem to be available.
Are...

Looks like it's possible.
Anyone know for sure? Or if they could be modified?
They are cheap enough, might order some and see if they can be made to work.
Are the non-inline original version RC10 front steering blocks still available? I could only find the inline versions on Tower. I have two old white pairs and one black pair, but I'm building a runner that will have these blocks and wouldn't mind...

Here's a link to those bearing adapters:
Associated also produced 5/16 -to-11mm adapters in white plastic and they were even included in some of the earlier RC10 kits. I had some in my parts box for years before I knew what they were. Not...
Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing well! Just been researching how to get hex wheels on my two RC10GT’s and I have a few questions. I’ve seen all the posts about the T4 hex axle swap but can only find one auction on eBay for the parts I would need....

I’ll do some researching but I think I’ll try and get them to work, can’t find many decent options for a good price!
I love the washers, they look awesome too. Bought the complete B4 bearing carriers with axles, spacers and CVD’s for $40 USD,...
Just what the topic says, did they ever make the 1637 steering blocks in black opposed to the standard white? I have a set of white ones but was looking for them in black (I know I can dye them if need be). If not is there another part number to...
Hello All,
I miss judged a curb the other day and did a bit of damage to my resurrected 1984 RC10. I have every thing all sorted with the exception of a steering blocks I damaged. The buggy had in-line steering blocks and used the vertical pin to...

Thanks BF, parts are ordered and it looks like the axles come with the nuts.
i am new to vintage racing. i have a RC10 89 graphite and it has no rear toe in (zero degrees on the plastic blocks). I was wondering whether anyone out there would know where i might be able to find any 2-3 degrees block carriers (preferably...

Is this the difference between 15 and 30 degree? They look the same angle, but different heights.
If so, which is which?

but it's an injection molded part. :?:
Perhaps they come out of the mold as blanks, then the pin hole is added to establish the different caster angles?
Anyway, I've not seen this before.
