RC12i IFS

Post by fastang »

He is my latest build, a RC12i IFS. I got the complete IFS from a poorly listed ebay auction. It was in poor shape when I received it but it cleaned up very nicely. The rest of the car is all NOS parts thanks to a01butal. This build would have taken months if not years to complete if it wasn't for him. I can't thank him enough!

Its not completely done yet. I need to figure out a way to mount the body without drilling holes in it or the chassis. I've posted pics of the body before and its too nice looking to cut mounting holes in it. There's a few other things I want to do too but those can wait.

Here's a few pics. Hope you enjoy!

I think my next project will be setting up a photo booth to take better pics!

maybe velcro to attach the body? stick black electrical tape on the body, then add the velcro. this way, you can peel the electrical tape off the body if you ever needed to.

That build looks so perfect it doesn't look like it was ever run.

Reminds me of my all time favorite onroad car, 12i with a CompositeCraft carbon fiber chassis. What I'd give to have that car back. :(

The IFS was run slightly but the rest of the car was NIP parts. I think it turned out good!

Thanks for all the nice comments!
