I upgaded my SC10 brushless over the winter. Instead of the typical race themed body , I wanted more of the 70's Baja look. The paint may look simple, but was a real PIA to get the stripes to line up. I took the truck all the way apart for a good cleaning and added a few upgrades.
Proline Baja Bug body
RPM Bumper and Brace
MIP CVD
AE FT Ball Diff
AE FT Tie Rods with RPM Cups
Chrome SC10 Wheel With Proline Switch Tires
Reedy 4600KV Motor
208oz servo
Custom Made Battery Hold Down
Blue Ano Screws and Battery Thumbturns
Indeed! Proline or someone needs to come up with a narrow front tire for the Slash/SC10. A buggy tire may work, but I think the diameter would be too short.
I broke a wing mount on my Tamiya TL-01B (long arm / off-road (Buggy) version of the TL-01);
I believe this chassis was offered as the Baja King, and Baja Champ.
I have a question about the parts tree(s) that include this wing mount.
I found one...

Things like the arms are two piece, so you get one front and one rear assembly. Camber and sterring links, battery holders, etc are all one side. Front and rear bumpers iirc are the same on some.
IM thinkin about gettig some new rcs.. at least a new b4.1rtr .. i dont want any more of the same chassis rcs (t4 b4 sc10) if they are going to change or discontinue something.. any word of a change anytime soon??

Got a kit SC10 and all the FT parts for it. Have not built it yet (no time!) but wanted to drive so bad that I purchased the RTR as well. So now my son will get the RTR minus the Lucas body!
Today I bought my first modern buggy in over 20 years. RTR 2.4 SC10 Brushless.

I did not get any pictures of it before I hit the track.
Driving a SC truck is much different than my RC-10. I look forward to dialing it...

I have been running the stock 13.5 with 87/22 gearing. Last run I had 75/22 which made the thing fly, but i needed to keep an eye on the temps. Now I have a 10.5 to run. Maybe with the hotter motor I might run into more problems.
