I cannot find instructions for these, need to see or pick apart visually an Astute with the steering installed on it.

Ok, another question since my RC10 classic is my first 6 gear. Can anyone tell me how to properly install the bell crank steering? What do I do with the little plastic washers on the parts tree? I'm guessing the nylon screw is installed upside-down...

I wish they would do the old style with the nut on it those look the best.

The last message I got from Barb was on the 7th. And I did suggest the older kit with the nut.

Anyone no the difference between the 10t vs rc10 rpm enhanced steering kits?

Here's a picture of the 2 kits. As mentioned already, the difference is the length of the arms. The second picture tries to show that difference as best as I could.

Regarding the parts for the Jammin' steering enhancement kit for the JRX-Pro.. does anyone know if the front spindle carriers are the same ones as the LXT, P/N A1017? They do LOOK the same....

i'm pretty sure it has the same castor block, but the knuckle is different.

Jammin J-550 Pro-SE Steering Enhancement Kit

I have two of these kits…so I decided to open one up, install it on my Pro-SE and see what it’s all about.

The shock tower is the same shape as the original, slightly thicker at 3mm instead of 2.5mm...

I never changed the front springs on mine when I got it back in the day, I don't think. Might have overlooked it. After reading the insert, I'm not sure I did much beyond putting in the shock tower and LXT uprights, because I don't recall the shims...

do you ever feel like cutting up perfectly good parts just for the hell of it? i do, and today was one of those days. :mrgreen:

so i'm looking through my little part drawers and stumbled upon my used losi a-1017 lxt/nxt steering knuckle setup....

that's a cool little discovery jason, well done man. wonder if a peroxide gel formula would work on the rpm ultra without pulling it apart :roll:
peroxide and rpm don't mix at all...unless you like the color green and some other funkiness :wink:...
