I am not an expert on Checkpoint motors but as far as I know the last two digits is a reference to the turns. So you have a hotter 17 and a milder 20 (single for the 17 and double for the 20 but I am not 100% sure). Best regards!

I see these numbers engraved on the end-bell #1220 and #1017. Your input is appreciated.

They should just be standard slot car springs. Group 12 and up.
Found this header card with an old motor I had. These things were cheap and fast when I was a lad. Might help some folks figure out what wind they have.
