YZ10 '94 or Works 91.

Post by ralphee »

First post guys, and i need advice already. Im looking for one to restore, but not sure what may be best to choose in todays money lol.
I raced the 94 back in the day, both on tarmac and offroad, but i always did prefer the stark innovation the 91 had back then, but, what model would be the better project today, spares wise i mean?
Any advice from the restore gurus would be awesome.

There seem to be more parts available for the YZ-10 vs. Works '91 . True Works '91 parts seem to be a little harder to come by. There is a LOT of information in these forums.. I spend hours and hours on them.

Scott cheers, its kinda what i was leaning to i guess, plastics for the 91 seem pretty rare especially. As for the wealth of info, wow, yes, its a bible alright, some really fond memories flooding back with every thread!!!

For the works yokomo, suspension arms are the hardest to come as well as battery posts. Most of the other parts you can get if you keep your ear to the ground. A fair few yr 4 parts are interchangeable which makes sourcing parts a little easier.

Either way that's part of the fun in restoring old Yokomo's :?

I 'd disagree and say the '94/95 parts are harder to get than 91/92/93 especially as those last share more parts with the 870 and yr-4 than the 94/95 models.
