Not sure if anyone is looking but digikey sells the amp brand 2 and 3 pin connectors quite cheap! 4 males and 4 females with 10 pins each and first class mail ran me just under $9. Quanity pricing is way better if you need more. They also have different pins available. Couldnt justify gold plating:-)
Male shells: a1429-nd
Female shells: a1400-nd
Male pins: a97887ct-nd
Female pins: a97888ct-nd
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
I am a newbie in RCs and Li-Pos, I only ran NiCds in the past and very little of that. I am just finishing cleaning and restoring (not full restore just bearings etc) my RC10T and I just got my first Li-Po batteries (Gens Ace 4000mAh 25C #2S1P) and...

I found that if you first generously tin the connectors on the deans connector.
Then you tin the wires and let them both cool down.
Now heat the wire and add enough solder to make your connection the bring the soldering iron and the wire together...
After getting back into the hobby I have been going bananas with having a bunch of stuff with all different battery connectors. I have decided to switch everything over to Dean's style connectors. Is there a right way to wire them up? I know female...

I have a mix of Traxxas and Deans connectors. While I can see the benefits of both, I prefer the Traxxas ones as they are a bit easier to connect and disconnect. But Deans are pre-made which is also a plus as I hate putting the blades into the...
I've got this esc set up (old Novak T-1X) with connectors I haven't seen before, and can't find now. It's a blade style with plus and minus on opposite sides of the blade, and is a one-way fit.
I like the not quite Novak orange and it'll be for a...

I feel proud being able to say that I still use these Race Prep connectors ...
I was waiting for this to happen to give me an excuse to switch over to deans, apparently it came sooner than expected.
No fault whatsoever on my end, it just couldn't handle 7.2v running a mod brushed 19t
Photos of course ...

Yep 8) 1 of the L3 oval's is switched over to deans now, working on the other as we speak. I think the motor and esc are running a bit more efficiently also.
So I went into a local shop today and tell the guy there I want a bigger battery so I can run longer and go faster. I tell him I have a pretty stock vintage RC10 with a NiMH 1800 mAh battery. He says without going LiPo, to get this 8.4V battery that...

i have always used Deoxit contact cleaner (available at radioshack but i get it from work) on all my motor and battery connectors. it cleans, lubes, and protects the contacts and makes them last longer. just half a drop every few weeks and i never had...
I have a need for some of these old style connectors but don't recall the name of them. Is there a source to obtain a few? I have several cars needing them and would like to keep them original as possible.
