Yokomo Barn Find
Found this YZ10 last week, the owner bought it as a kit in '94,ran it four times on asphalt and shelved it.
The tires were dry rotted and one shock was slightly leaky.
I couldn't get over how original it was,all of the kit screws are there,no rounded heads, the kit motor is like new...All it required was a very careful tear down,a clean and careful reassembly.
All I'm missing are the wing buttons and some front tires.
If anyone has some, please let me know.
I'm not sure what I'll do with it,I'm a Losi guy,I just couldn't say no to this one!

Here's a few more shots...Those arms look like Pavadis arms, but the owner swears they came with the kit.

Re: Yokomo Barn Find
Great find, looks stock except it has the upgraded milled F&R arms from the Worlds Pavadis, which sweetens the deal even more.
Didn't you restore a YZ10 before, 2nd time lucky with this one!

Re: Yokomo Barn Find
Right on,I thought the arms looked different to the other stock YZ10s I've seen, but the owner swears they came with the kit.,
I've had a few Yokomos, but never one this complete and this tidy.

Re: Yokomo Barn Find
That's the correct body for the 94 YZ-10 and the 95 Pavidis, the one without the side scoop and 4 teardrop blisters is the correct one for the 91 and 93 Works.

Re: Yokomo Barn Find
I found some wing buttons and the pink paint on the wing came right off.
The Yokomo TR12 tires seem a good fit on the rear and I just bought some NIP TF310 tires for the front.
The body's cleaned up nice,too.
Looks like I'm going to have to sell her, though, the clutch on my WRX is feeling dodgy.
I absolutely love this car,it's a 1999 WRX RA V Ltd,number #461 out of 1000 made.
300HP turbocharged engine, all wheel drive, big brakes,STI suspension,1210KG lightweight body with alloy bonnet, front guards and boot lid, close ratio gearbox and lots of other goodies.
I'll post the YZ10 on the B/S/T for everyone here, first, before I put it up on eBay,in case anyone here wants it.
