i wonder just exactly how hard it would be to re-create the GRT? or atleast a homage to it.

I love the GRT. But I can settle for the Nitro Rustler but just get rid of the rtr plastics.

A nitro rustler is basically the same thing as a GRT minus the white fiberglass upper deck, big bore shocks, front shock tower and probably a few other things.Emaxx2.0 wrote:I love the GRT. But I can settle for the Nitro Rustler but just get rid of the rtr plastics.

Why can't Traxxas build cars like this anymore? I know all the money is in the bashing market, but it would be so easy for them to turn the Rustler into a modern-day srt.
. . . you have Associated Green Slime for brains. And not even new Green Slime, but old gooped out Green Slime.

I asked this question on the Traxxas.com forums and have yet to recieve an answer from Traxxas but only a few guys saying that the Slash, Slash 4x4, Slayer, and Rally are full blown racers.
I've never seen a Slayer or Rally race before and Slash's can't keep up anymore.

The question:
Todd
The answer:85Edinger wrote:Why can't Traxxas build cars like this anymore? .
there is way too much money in the rtr market, which they pretty much dominate, to worry about the racing sector. Its not their demographic they are after...their demographics are the fad mongers. If its cool today they'll make a buck tomorrow on it. Just my $.02 though...85Edinger wrote: I know all the money is in the bashing market.
