ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

Post by mrlexan »

Can someone (likely temple), please help me ID this? I assume either an early Duratrax or Dragon/Demon (can't remember the name) Nitro Converison. I bought it as I thought I would be getting some white 10GT parts, but upon closer inspection, it is not a 10GT. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Kunio Dudgeon/A-Main conversion. I've got a few different versions of these. That one is the "middle of the run" version. They're pretty cool, and I've got some spare bits. And the manual... I wonder it they hacked out the side of the top plate to turn the Panda tank sideways...?

Jay, do you have it yet?

Yeah, I have it. I took the pics in my living room. Any suggestions? Not sure if I want to keep it or put it up... like I said I was hoping for some white 10GT parts when I bought it. It is still pretty cool.... no scratches on the chassis, so I don't think it was run much.

It predated the GT, so white 7001 parts are appropriate. Your top deck looks hacked though. I've got the same version with a good top deck, trans, etc. but pretty well used. If you want to sell/trade or get mine LMK. I could build a nice one with yours, or vice versa... I really don't want to build my NIB one, even though I have all the 10T parts NIP for it...

There was just a nice chassis and tranny for this on ebay a day or so ago, not sure if it's still there.

This one?

http://cgi.ebay.com/NICE-LITEWEGT-CHASSIS-RC10-GT-GT2-B4-RC10GT-XXX-NT_W0QQitemZ270173650978

It's a much later GT conversion chassis, it uses the stock GT trans, rear bulkhead, arm mounts and fuel tank.

Here's a few of mine:

What, exactly, is the "repair" to the front of the top deck??? It's supposed to be flat...

It's supposed to use a 10T front body mount flipped around and bolted through the shock tower and top plate. I'm sending a PM...

Yup, that was the one I was thinking of. There was also a tranny though, the tranny definitely wasn't stock. I'm not 100% sure, but it looked like the one that Jay has. I can't see your pic for some reason. I would love to see more pics of GT conversions.

I would like to purchase and rc10-t / a-main conversion kit. I have been looking for some time now and have had no luck. I came across the forum last night and was wonder if anybody on here would have any idea where I might be able to find one. I remember these kits from the early 90's and would like to have a piece of history.

Hey Dell,
Welcome to the board from another newbie. I'm sure that one of these guys might have what you need or at least be able to send you in the right direction at obtaining one. Lots of useful stuff around here and if history is what you are after your in the right place.
